The Caltech Postdoctoral Scholar Program at JPL exposes individuals to projects at NASA and encourages joint sponsorship and collaboration between Caltech faculty members, JPL scientists and NASA Headquarters. While postdocs in this program are employees of Caltech, they conduct their research at JPL with the support of their advisor. Graduate Program in Biochemistry & Molecular Biophysics The Biochemistry and Molecular Biophysics graduate option has been established as an interdisciplinary program at the interface of biology, chemistry, and physics that seeks to understand the chemistry of life.

Caltech Department of Applied Physics and Materials Science is home to academic and research programs in Applied Physics and in Materials Science. Research in Applied Physics is built on the foundations of quantum mechanics, statistical physics, electromagnetic theory, mechanics, and advanced mathematics.

Nicole Tetreault is a Ph.D. candidate in the Division of Biology at Caltech working in Dr. John Allman and Barbara Wold's laboratories, where she is conducting neuroanatomical and genetic studies of autistic and control individuals. The California Institute of Technology (locally referred to as "Caltech") is a relatively small and specialized private reserach university and technology institute in Pasadena, California. As of 2016, Caltech had a annual enrollment of 2,255 students, with roughly half of those graduate students and the other half undergraduate students.

Caltech Freshman Seminar Program The goal of the Freshman Seminar is to increase the exposure of incoming students to Caltech faculty in a non-lecture setting. Faculty will explore an in-depth and exciting topic in the lab, around a table, in the field, or anywhere else appropriate.

Caltech Dining Services works closely with students to ensure the board program remains fresh and unique. The Interhouse Food Committee acts as a liaison between students and CDS to provide feedback and offer suggestions. The Food Committee meets weekly to taste new food items, discuss special meals, and relay any other feedback from the student body. Every year, houses elect one food representative each to convey students' input. Through this program, summer students will have the opportunity to do research for 10 weeks in experimental groups at Caltech working on quantum science and technology. Applications may be submitted through either the SURF or WAVE programs at Caltech. Requirements are the same for the SURF and WAVE programs, though the WAVE program is specifically for women or prospective students from underrepresented backgrounds. Online Learning. Caltech's Online Education programs aim to improve both how we educate future generations of scientists and engineers here at Caltech and to show how our intense approach to education in science and engineering can make a difference beyond our own student body. The travel grant program aims to send every female student interested in attending at least once during their time at Caltech. The Amazon Fellows Program is the result of a partnership between Caltech and Amazon AWS around Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence.
